CULINARY HERB PRESERVATION
Saving the harvest from the kitchen herb garden for year-round cooking pleasure is a simple 1-2-3 process! Preservation by freezing is a preferred method and may be accomplished through the following steps.
One: Arrange clean, moisture-free, freshly harvested herbs on a baking sheet. Then, place in the
freezer.
Two: After several hours, transfer them to an air-tight container such as a plastic freezer bag and
return to the freezer for storage.
Three: Use the freezer stored herbs during the winter months to add flavor and dietary benefits to
food.

Do you dry the herbs first?
